Since I didn’t take any rest days, I had enough time to try the 3 high passes as well as going to the Everest Base Camp. 3 high passes would be super challenging, but I was confident I would be able to make it! Trekking from Jiri to Lukla: The Alternative Way to Everest basecamp. I peeled back the curtain and was amazed. Inside there was a colourful and beautiful room.

An hour above Junbesi lays the 30 Jan 2018 of Jiri. I had never felt so far away from everything. I had chosen to walk into the Everest region instead of taking a domestic flight to Lukla.

Heaps fresh off the plane from Lukla. Some in top of the line trekking gear, others in jeans and tee shirts with Gopros on their heads. This was my 5th days on the trails. The plan for the day was a walk to Bupsa, which was my last stop before reaching Lukla. Lukla is the biggest town of the area with its small airport.
